Steven & Sarah!

This little girl just makes my heart so happy!! She is so beautiful. She has some of the most gorgeous big blue eyes!! Lauren is, I believe, 18 months old and she was definitely a challenge to photograph, which is pretty typical for that age! She did not want to be held or posed, she just wanted to be on the go! I love how the session turned out and I LOVE that I got to use my brand new TUTU on her! The tutu shots are by far some of my favorite baby pics! ENJOY!!

I leave you with this. Her daddy decided to play some music from his cell phone and she just started scootin’ and dancin’ away. We had to be careful because she kept scootin’ herself right off the bench! Most precious thing ever!

Meet the Segars! Newman, Lacey, & little Raygan make up the cutest little family! I just loved working with them. Lacey contacted me a while back when Newman was still in Afghanistan asking if she could book last minute when she knows her hubby will be home. Of course I said yes . I love that they spent the limited time they have with Newman for a session with me! They have lived in a variety of places, one of which was Italy- SO JEALOUS, but both Newman & Lacey graduated from USC, so naturally we did the session at the Horseshoe. Newman, Lacey, & Raygan, thanks for a great shoot!! I hope you enjoy the pictures!

Happy Wednesday!! I am leaving for Baltimore today to see Dylan & Karin and while I am there, I will be taking Karin’s maternity pictures!! EEk! SOOoooo that means no blogging for a few days, but I will be back to share more fun stuff. Last week was what I called “bride week” because I had 5 bridal portrait shoots, so I won’t be posting those until after the weddings, BUT I have plenty of other stuff to share- NO WORRIES!! Don’t miss me too much

I have found with several clients that bubble gum is AMAZING for bribing kids to smile and behave for photo shoots. While we did use bubble gum to bribe Christopher (“Topher”) and Samuel, I am convinced that these are the most polite, well-behaved, happiest kids on the planet. This is the second photo shoot I have done for the Jakes family at Dewees Island and I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Derek is a radiologist who I have had the pleasure of working with for the last couple of years and his family is the sweetest! I love going to Dewees Island… I get to take the ferry out there and hang out on one of the coolest beaches ever! Everything is so quiet and natural. So here you have it… the 2nd annual Jakes Family shoot and another huge post  Could these kids get any cuter? I think not.  Derek, Mandy, Topher, & Samuel… thanks so much for having me out there! I had a blast! {& thank you, Anna, for your assistance and for being my shopping buddy before the shoot. We’ll do it again soon!}
