I am so excited to FINALLY be able to post these! Kent & Kait’s BEAUTIFUL wedding was yesterday and it was an absolutely perfect day. Everything about it. I took Kait’s bridal portraits back in April and have been dying to share them, so without further ado… drum roll please…

Mrs. Kaitlin Suits!!!

A few days before the portraits, Wes and I searched throughout Lexington to find some cool spots and I was so glad we stumbled upon this great field of purple flowers:

Kait wanted to have the country look, so we also found some neat red barns:

This is my favorite and the one Kait chose for the portrait to display at the reception. It looked so good on canvas!

We were driving home and noticed the moon looked amazing, so we stopped and got a few fun ones . Everytime I see these, I think of the line from It’s a Wonderful Life… “Just say the word and I’ll throw a lasso around it and pull it down.”

Congrats Kent & Kait! Kait, you looked GORGEOUS and I am so honored that I got to do your bridal portraits! Love you!

Hopefully I’ll get a few shots from the big day posted in a few weeks. For the most part, I let myself be a bridesmaid and watched the photographers do their job, which was both nice and weird… I felt like I was neglecting a duty and I felt naked without my camera. When we got to the reception, I left my camera in the car, but couldn’t take it anymore, so I immediately went back out to get it. The photographers did a great job and I was so happy to be able to enjoy and share in Kent & Kait’s special day!

Meet George & Rebecca. A precious couple. They live in Houston and are getting married in Greenville on October 3, 2009. It seems like forever ago that I got a phone call from Rebecca asking to book me for their wedding. She booked me back when I was just beginning to shoot weddings. It is incredible how many opportunities and experiences I have had since then! 

This engagement session has been booked for some time as well… Sunday rolled around and it POURED all day, so we had pretty much canceled the session. About an hour before the scheduled time, Rebecca called me and said, “let’s just go for it.” Well, that was a genius decision because the rain stopped for exactly an hour and a half  AND the lighting was PERFECT. I was so glad to be able to do these for them. They both went to grad school at USC, so it was really special for them to have these done at the Horseshoe. Otherwise, they would have been done at the beach which is a beautiful alternative, but not exactly what they wanted. I posted a sneak peek just yesterday, but little did I know that I would get the rest done so fast . Enjoy!!

Here is a peek from my last engagement session- one of the cutest couples ever! Check back in a few days for the wonderfully full post. If you’re lucky, I’ll have them up before Kait & Kent’s wedding, which is this SATURDAY!! I am sooo excited! Although I am a bridesmaid, I do expect to have MANY photos to share . Also, brace yourself for Kait’s beautiful bridal portraits!!!

I photographed Jonathan & Michelle’s GORGEOUS wedding this past Saturday. It was a great day. It was supposed to rain most of the day, but it held off whenever we needed to be outside . I took my record number of pictures, so it will take me a while to finish all the photos, but I wanted to post a sneak peek for you of some that stood out to me as I was browsing through. You don’t get to see the couple close up yet, but I assure you they are so perfect for each other! … you have to wait for the full posts! I am thinking I will probably break it into two or three posts when I am finished, so check back in a few weeks for those!

It was a beautiful church both inside & outside:

The explanation on this one will have to wait until the full post…for now, suffice it to say the groomsmen were goofballs So much fun!

This was the first wedding I have done where the bride and groom have a first look. It was the sweetest thing ever! Here is a peek of them praying together before the ceremony. I can’t get over these stained glass windows. The photo actually looked really cool in black & white, but I wasn’t willing to sacrifice the colors in the window

A peek from the newlywed session:

This family was leaving the reception as we were coming back from the newlywed session and I could not resist this adorable baby girl. She LOVED the camera! I have never seen a baby so fascinated with a camera! As soon as she saw me, she grinned ear-to-ear and every time I moved in close, she leaned forward with her mouth WIDE open. So precious.
