Columbia got 6-8 inches of snow last night! I absolutely hate the cold, but I gotta say, snow is one of the most beautiful things ever! I am so fascinated by it. The trees are what really present the WOW factor for me. I zoom in on every little branch and am just so amazed at how the snow falls in every little crook and crevice to make the most spectacular scenery. I was just saying last week how jealous I was that the north got so much of this magical scenery and all we get is rain AND how I would kill to photograph the snow! You better believe that as soon as that snow started falling my camera was in hand! 
While most people were sitting at home snuggled under blankets and watching movies, Wes and I were out having our Valentine’s date. Maybe not the smartest thing, but it was so worth it. We had snowball fights in the middle of the road and got to spin out in abandoned parking lots (trust me… I feared for my life). Our plan was to go to dinner and a movie, but the movie part didn’t work out.
The first few shots are from last night while the snow was coming down hard. THEN we got up early this morning to take full advantage of our barely 8 inches of snow, which has now melted away. I am happy to say I got my snow pictures.

We woke up to a winter wonderland. So gorgeous! I think the snow makes our house look cuter.
Oliver wasn’t sure what to think at first, but he got the hang of it and ended up having a blast. I think his favorite part about the snow was the instant refreshment 
We kept telling him not to eat the yellow snow, but somehow I think he liked it best of all. Every time I looked at him his nose was covered in snow.
It was so neat how the snow was falling/melting off the trees everywhere because it was like glitter sparkling in the sun! The pictures don’t really do it justice.
I feel like God strategically places the snow so it’s just right…
